Attorney Taylor Hastings founded Hastings Law to help individuals and businesses in the triangle region of North Carolina. His passion lies with the people of this community because it's the one that raised him. As a general practice law firm with a community-first focus, Hastings Law has developed experience in a wide range of current legal issues facing the community, including criminal defense, civil litigation, business disputes, start-up assistance, family disputes, residency appeals, and representation through honor court proceedings.
Hastings Law represents clients in federal and state courts charged with a wide variety of felony and misdemeanor offenses, including drug possession, drug dealing and distributing, driving while impaired, arson, shoplifting, larceny, injury to personal property, and more. The Constitution provides criminal defendants with fierce procedural rights before, during, and after trial. Attorney Hastings has experience enforcing those rights and holding the government to its duty to faithfully practice under its constitutional oath.
One of the most exciting times for an individual and/or business is when a great idea comes to life. Hastings Law loves to establish the proper legal framework to launch a company. The entity formation phase can be overwhelming, but Hastings Law is equipped to counsel clients through formation, agreement construction, intellectual property protection, tax preparation, and the best plans forward to establish capital and growth for their new business.
Hastings Law has extensive litigation experience in the civil realm, including landlord/tenant disputes, business disputes, personal and property injury claims, dog-bite claims, consumer protection claims against unfair business practices, negligent performance, and many more. The firm effectively represents clients at all stages of litigation, including pre-complaint negotiations, pre-trial mediation, and, if necessary, trial. The firm is familiar with collaborative mediation efforts, as well as more formal versions of alternative dispute resolution.
As a community-focused law firm, Hastings Law frequently encounters clients who are confronted with legal issues related to their membership in college and/or university communities. Attorney Hastings successfully navigates students through honor court proceedings, residency determinations, and academic misconduct at several college and university institutions across the state. Hastings Law knows membership in these communities is a great source of pride for many, and thus, the firm listens carefully to students and parents in order to tailor representation in a manner that preserves it moving forward.
Since its inception in 2015, Hastings Law has experienced steady growth through its simple goal of putting its clients first.
